Fun-eral is a live performance collaboration between V2X Academy and RMIT. We were asked to create a visual set for DJs to perform on stage with the topic of “Vina”, in which we were to develop a subtopic with Vietnamese elements implemented. The team came up with the concept of “Vietnamese Funeral”, and that is where the project name came from.
The visuals mainly focus on the process of funeral customs and traditions in Southern Vietnam through a new appearance, from when a person dies to the day they are sent off to the final resting place.
